Celebrating winning ‘World Class’ status for workplace culture

We are thrilled to start the year by being awarded the highest ‘World Class’ rating in the 2023 UK Best Companies to Work For Awards, for the second year running.

Each year, thousands of UK businesses sign up to take part in the Best Companies research, which sees the independent ‘Best Companies’ organisation undertake a thorough and anonymous survey of an organisations entire workforce, asking questions around working conditions, culture, reward, career progression, community impact, and all the key factors that measure staff engagement and happiness. The results are used to pinpoint what employees really think of their employer, and organisations are benchmarked against each other, by size, sector and geography, allowing organisations to make decision about further workplace improvements.

Here at ramsac, we have always made a strong commitment to seeking to be a culture led organisation and this is the fifth year we have taken part in the research, and the second year in a row that we have achieved the top accolade.

It has always been our stated mission to be the best place to work we can possibly be. We know that happy people, who are professionally trained, developed, and mentored and who are genuinely happy to come to work each day, naturally provide the best possible experience for our clients. So not only is being a great employer the right thing to do, it’s also great for business. We know when we employ someone, they will generally be with us for a long time, which make investing in their career an easy decision. In turn, we find that loyal staff lead to loyal customers. We love that we have long term relationships with clients, with many contracts being more than a decade old, some more than 25 years old. That those clients are then looked after by colleagues that have been with the firm for as many years, is just wonderful.

To start 2023 with this award is a real boost, this year looks set to be one of our most exciting yet – we move to our new Guildford HQ in May, and we are preparing to launch a number of new IT security services in our first quarter which will really cement our position as being the most cyber secure managed IT provider in the UK. We have a team of over 100 colleagues and this will grow by around 20% this year. Having a solid ‘thumbs up’ from our existing colleagues is wonderful when it comes to attracting new starters to join the ramsac community. Later in the year we will also see where they have scored in the UK league tables, hoping to beat our Q1 2022 position as number 9 in best place to work in the South East, and number 12 best midsized employer in the UK!
